The federal government is rolling out the Canada Strong Pass this summer to help families explore national parks, museums, and rail travel for less.

Available from June 20 to September 2, 2025, the pass offers free or discounted access to major cultural and natural attractions across the country.

Highlights include:

  • Free admission to Parks Canada sites and 25% off camping fees.
  • Free museum entry for children 17 and under, and 50% off for youth 18–24 at national museums and select provincial and territorial sites.
  • Free VIA Rail travel for kids 17 and under with an adult, plus 25% off for young adults.

“Whether it’s visiting a national park they always wanted to see, exploring a museum, or booking a camping trip, families can create lasting memories together,” said Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, in a release. “Canadians are proud of what defines us, and this Pass is about celebrating a strong, united Canada.”

The initiative aims to make summer travel more affordable while helping Canadians connect with their heritage and landscapes.

Despite its name, a physical or virtual pass doesn’t exist for visitors as part of the program. More information on what’s included is available online.
