Hollywood actor John Travolta has been turning heads in Winnipeg lately as the A-lister is in town filming a new movie.
Travolta was on set Wednesday morning at the Red Top Drive Inn filming scenes for “November 1963,” chronicling the lead-up to the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Dallas.

Film production took over the St. Mary’s Road restaurant for the day, leading to the establishment’s temporary closure.
“Sorry for the inconvenience, but Hollywood called and we had to answer,” the restaurant posted on social media.
The feature film from Mind’s Eye Pictures began local filming on June 18 and is scheduled to wrap on July 31, according to ACTRA Manitoba.
“November 1963” also stars Mandy Patinkin, Dermot Mulroney and Robert Carlyle, as written by Nicholas Celozzi and Bonnie & Joseph Giancana.
Travolta has been spotted around Winnipeg in the last few weeks, including when he posed for a photo with a fan at the Fort Garry Hotel on July 9.
The film is scheduled for release sometime in 2026.
