A second fire was reported at 4:20 a.m. on Friday in the 1500 block of Logan Avenue. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and initially fought the blaze defensively from outside the home. Two neighbouring houses were evacuated as a precaution. As conditions improved, crews moved inside and declared the fire under control at 5:15 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the Logan Avenue fire, which also remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not yet available for either incident.
