The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed star running back Brady Oliveira to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the club through the 2028 CFL season.
Oliveira, who was set to become a free agent in February, remains one of the most accomplished players in franchise history. The Winnipeg native was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 2024 and has won the league’s Most Outstanding Canadian Award in back-to-back seasons. He was also the Blue Bombers’ top player and top Canadian for a third straight year in 2025.
In the 2025 season, Oliveira rushed for 1,163 yards and three touchdowns while setting career highs as a receiver with 61 catches for 546 yards. He has now surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in four consecutive seasons and ranks sixth all-time in franchise rushing yards with 5,480.
Drafted by Winnipeg in 2019, Oliveira has played 83 games for the Bombers and scored 27 touchdowns.
