The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed veteran linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox to a one-year contract, bringing him back to the team where he began his CFL career in 2017.

The 31-year-old returns after stints with Edmonton, Hamilton, and Ottawa, where he spent the past three seasons. Over 111 career CFL games, Santos-Knox has recorded 528 defensive tackles, 16 sacks, five interceptions, and four forced fumbles.

He was Ottawa’s most outstanding defensive player in 2025, finishing second on the team with 80 tackles and adding an interception. Santos-Knox also earned the same honour in 2022 with Hamilton and was named an East Division all-star that year.

Santos-Knox played college football at UMass, earning First-Team All-MAC in 2014 and Second-Team All-MAC in 2015.

In a pair of separate signings, the Blue Bombers also announced the additions of CFL all-star offensive tackle Jarell Broxton and veteran defensive back Jonathan Moxey to two-year contracts.
