The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed veteran defensive back Nick Hallett to a one-year contract, keeping the longtime special teams standout in blue and gold for another season.
Hallett, who became a CFL free agent Tuesday, returns for his seventh season with the Bombers after being selected by the club in the seventh round of the 2019 CFL Draft.
The 31-year-old has appeared in 100 regular-season games with Winnipeg, including seven starts at safety, and is a two-time Grey Cup champion with the team in 2019 and 2021.
In 2025, Hallett played 14 games, recording two defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles and a forced fumble. He led the Bombers in special teams tackles in 2023 with 20 and has 80 career special teams tackles, the sixth-most in franchise history.
