Police allege a man driving a vehicle refused to stop for people on the picket line and struck a 54-year-old man from Oak Bluff, causing him to fall near a ditch and suffer minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The victim then approached the suspect, who allegedly pushed him to the ground again before leaving the scene in his vehicle.

Officers later identified and arrested the suspect for assault and assault with a weapon. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on April 10 in Winnipeg.

RCMP continue to investigate.
