A man in his 40s is dead following a collision on Portage Avenue Wednesday morning.
Winnipeg police responded to the 2000 block of Portage Avenue at around 10 a.m. after receiving a report of a motor vehicle collision.
Emergency crews transported the driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, to hospital in critical condition. Police say he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators have determined the man experienced a medical event while driving westbound on Portage Avenue, causing his vehicle to strike several parked cars along the north side of the road.
No other injuries were reported.
