Manitoba’s Parks Reservation Service will open on April 13, giving campers the chance to book sites for the 2026 season.

This year, a new feature will allow users to set up to five availability alerts, notifying them by email if a campsite matching their preferences becomes available.

Reservations will once again roll out in stages over five days to manage demand, with bookings opening daily at 7 a.m. online and by phone (1-888-482-2267 or 204-948-3333 in Winnipeg). Users logging in online will be placed in a virtual waiting room before opening and may be queued depending on demand.

Reservations can also be made in-person in Winnipeg from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday at 1181 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.

A new $10 cancellation fee has also been introduced for bookings cancelled at least four days in advance, aimed at improving campsite availability. Cancellations made within three days of arrival will continue to be charged one night’s camping fee.

Some campground closures remain in place for the 2026 season. Black Lake in Nopiming Provincial Park will stay closed due to wildfire recovery, while select sites at St. Malo, Hecla-Gull Harbour and Grand Beach are affected by construction. Reservations are also temporarily unavailable for certain group sites at Spruce Woods Provincial Park during electrical upgrades.

Campers are encouraged to prepare ahead of opening day by updating their accounts and reviewing reservation policies.
