Manitoba Blue Cross has opened a new service centre in Winkler, expanding the health benefits provider’s in-person presence into southern Manitoba.

The location at 880L 15th Street, Unit 3 offers face-to-face support for members with questions about claims and coverage, as well as in-person counselling sessions for eligible members with individual or employee assistance program coverage. Members of the public can also visit for information on travel or personal health plans.

“For many Manitobans, accessing support can mean travelling long distances or navigating services on their own,” said Benjamin Graham, president and CEO of Manitoba Blue Cross, in a release. “We’re working to change that.”

To mark the opening, Manitoba Blue Cross made a $10,000 donation to United Way Pembina Valley.
