Motorists are being urged to use caution as 4-H members take part in a provincewide highway cleanup on Saturday, May 30.
Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure says the annual 4-H Manitoba Highway Cleanup will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, with clubs across the province collecting litter along highways and roadsides.
Participants will be wearing high-visibility safety vests and cleanup areas will be marked with signage. Drivers are reminded to slow down in posted areas, watch for increased foot traffic, maintain a safe distance from workers and equipment, and stay focused on the road.
If weather conditions force a postponement, the alternate cleanup date is June 6.
