WINNIPEG — A vacant former restaurant was further damaged by fire on Sunday evening for the second time in less than a year.
Firefighters were called to the former Boujee Restaurant & Bar at 191 Main Street just after 5:30 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the building.
The location was previously the Earls on Main restaurant before it closed in 2022 to make way for the short-lived Friskee Pearl and later Boujee.
Firefighters declared Sunday’s blaze under control at 9:40 p.m., but remained on scene throughout the night to extinguish hotspots.
No occupants were found inside, and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation, but officials say the building sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage.
The same structure was previously damaged by fire in October 2025.
