Canada’s largest Asian grocery retailer is expanding into Manitoba, with T&T Supermarket set to open its first Winnipeg store at CF Polo Park.

The 48,000-square-foot store will be located on the lower level of the mall at 1485 Portage Avenue and is expected to open in spring 2028.

“We’ve finally figured it out,” said Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets, in a release. “Winnipeg is more than a thousand kilometres away from the nearest T&T, but we’ve found a way to bring T&T’s immersive Asian food experience to the community.”

Lee said the store will offer fresh produce, exotic fruits, Asian snacks, beauty products and T&T kitchen and bakery favourites.

While the store isn’t set to open until 2028, Manitoba residents can begin shopping online now through the T&T app and website, with a current selection that includes dried goods, trendy snacks and Asian beauty products.

T&T at Polo Park will be the chain’s first Manitoba location. The retailer currently operates 40 locations across North America, including 37 in Canada and three in the United States, with two new Canadian stores — in North York, Ont. and Burnaby, B.C. — set to open in 2026.
