Winnipeg police have charged a woman after a drive-by shooting on Toronto Street early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Toronto Street around 1 a.m. for a report of a shooting. The targeted residence was vacant, and no injuries were reported, police said.

Police learned an altercation between a group of people and a man had taken place earlier outside a hotel on McPhillips Street. The parties involved went their separate ways before the shooting on Toronto Street occurred a short time later.
