Necklace Fundraiser to Support West End Community

July 14, 2010 7:15 AM CDT | News

Winnipeg’s West End will be on the receiving end of a collaborative effort put on by Hot 103’s Ace Burpee and jewelry designer Hilary Druxman.

The duo will be selling a limited edition “Wear the West End” necklace today for $36 at Hilary Druxman (258 McDermot Avenue) and at both Moksha Yoga locations (2 Donald Street & 1090 Waverley Street). Net proceeds will be divided between the West Central Women’s Resource Centre and the Spence Neighbourhood Association.

“I came into this world in a little house in the West End and I wouldn’t want to be from anywhere else,” said Ace Burpee. “The West End is still awesome. There are many worthy organizations working to improve that community and this necklace is one of the ways that the public can help them continue that work.”

The necklace will also be available at HilaryDruxman.com.
