The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have started the search for a naming rights partner for the future football stadium under construction at the University of Manitoba.
“We are on the lookout for a corporate partner or philanthropist who’s aligned with the same core brand and community values as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers,” said Jeff Thompson, Chief Transition Officer for the football club. If you’re a company who believes in trust and loyalty, and shares the Blue Bombers’ drive and dedication, we want to talk with you.”
Thompson says a company’s name on the stadium is an “unmatchable prospect in terms of marketing and positive equity.”
Canad Inns currently holds naming rights to the Polo Park stadium, which was built in 1953.
Commercial rights agency Front Row Marketing Services will handle the backend of the corporate partner search for the Blue Bombers.
The 33,500-seat facility is scheduled to open in south Winnipeg by 2012.
