Winnipeg radio station Energy 106 is holding a radiothon in support of Winnipeg Harvest beginning today.
The three-day “People Gotta Eat” holiday food drive will run until Saturday at Grant Park Shopping Centre.
Mayor Sam Katz will officially launch the drive at 10 a.m. this morning, at which time non-perishable food items can be dropped off for the food bank.
Peak of the Market will match all food donations pound for pound with fresh produce.
Energy 106 will be live on location daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Anyone who makes a donation will be eligible to win prizes. Proceeds from an ongoing on-site sports memorabilia auction will also be donated to Winnipeg Harvest.
