The three-day radiothon last week at St. Vital Centre has brought in $65,000 and more than 5,500 toys for the Christmas Cheer Board.

FAB 94.3 and 99.9 BOB FM’s 29th Annual Christmas Miracle was held from December 8 to 10, and encouraged listeners to come down to the mall and make a cash or toy donation.

“The Christmas Miracle is one of the largest donation sources for the Cheer Board and this has been the most successful year to date,” said Cheer Board executive director Kai Madsen.

In 2010, $55,000 was raised during the Christmas Miracle.

Volunteers are still needed to help deliver hampers for the Christmas Cheer Board over the coming weeks. To help out, call (204) 989-5680.

Thanks to Bell Media Radio for inviting ChrisD.ca down this past Saturday to be a part of the action. Listen to FAB 94.3’s Beau, Tom and Frazier interview our sports reporter Darrin Bauming:
