Winnipeg Harvest received a welcoming hand from members of the Winnipeg Goldeyes today.
A $1,000 donation was made to Harvest by the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation. Following the donation, Goldeyes hitting coach Tom Vaeth, mascot Goldie and the team’s front office staff spent the morning working at the food bank.
“The Goldeyes are proud to partner with such a great organization like Winnipeg Harvest,” Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said. “They do an amazing job in Winnipeg to provide a food bank for the less fortunate and it is a privilege to spend the morning with them.”
The baseball club has a history with Winnipeg Harvest, previously participating in their Empty Bowls campaign.
