RCMP have seized more than $10,000 worth of counterfeit merchandise from a Brandon store.
Officers executed a search warrant on an unnamed store inside Brandon Shoppers Mall on Wednesday, where they located counterfeit hoodies, T-shirts, hats and belts. Items included brand names such as Ford, Monster Energy, Harley Davidson, John Deere, Jack Daniels and Red Bull.
The RCMP investigation indicated that the store was in violation of the Copyright, Trademark and the Textile Act. No charges have been laid, and police continue to investigate.
Earlier this year, RCMP seized counterfeit clothing from two Winnipeg retailers.
