A new independent music festival for Winnipeg will feature 27 local artists in seven venues throughout the downtown area early next year.
Big Fun will be an annual festival that touches on rock, hip-hop, folk and electronic genres. Performances will be spread out between the Exchange District and Chinatown, including repurposed warehouses, art galleries and lofts all within walking distance.
Festival passes are $30 at Into the Music, Music Trader, the Lo Pub and the Blacksheep Diner. A pass will get you into nine out of 10 shows. Tickets will also be available at the door.
The festival runs January 26-29.
