The Winnipeg Goldeyes will host a youth skills competition on May 19 to improve the core baseball and softball skills of kids aged seven to 14.

The Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run will see children advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City, Missouri.

Competitors will be split into four categories to work on their pitching, hitting, running, and other skills.

The competition will run from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Shaw Park.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out the registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition. A registration form can be downloaded from Goldeyes.com and faxed to (204) 982-2274 or by e-mail to mlbphr@goldeyes.com.
