The University of Winnipeg Wesmen baseball team will play their first home games of the season on Saturday and Sunday.
The team has been on the road for their last 14 games, but will return to Shaw Park to play in front of a hometown crowd.
The Wesmen will host the Dakota College at Bottineau Lumberjacks in their inaugural “Home Opening Weekend.” Doubleheaders will be played on both days with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
Baseball season and individual game tickets can be purchased at the park. Season tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students 17 and under, and free for children under three. Individual tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students.
Gates will open at noon.
UPDATE: Due to wet field conditions, both games have been cancelled.
