CJOB 68 will provide wall-to-wall coverage from the University of Manitoba Bisons as part of a new partnership until 2017.
Corus Radio Winnipeg on Thursday announced it will broadcast the Bisons’ football game during Banjo Bowl weekend in September, along with regular coverage from other campus teams throughout the season.
“We have always taken pride in our coverage of local sports events and teams, and CJOB’s affiliation with the University of Manitoba will only expand our approach in that regard,” said CJOB sports director Bob Irving. “It’s a pleasure to be involved with the Bisons and their long, successful history in university athletics.”
The university and CJOB will also jointly award the Bob Irving Scholarship to one deserving Bisons athlete each year.
