The new Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame is set to open on Saturday, October 27 and will host a roster of professional athletes on the big day.
The gallery will offer a free public viewing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 145 Pacific Avenue. Artifacts include items from Manitoba’s rich sport history, like the AVCO Cup and Clara Hughes’ bike from the ‘96 Olympics. Children can play games, such as a video home run derby with Winnipeg Goldeyes’ star Amos Ramon.

10 a.m. — James Murphy, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Grey Cup champion
Janine Hanson, 2012 Olympic Silver Medalist — rowing
Amos Ramon, Winnipeg Goldeyes
12 p.m. — Joe Daley, Winnipeg Jets goaltender
1 p.m. — Ken Ploen, Winnipeg Blue Bomber
2 p.m. — Ab McDonald, first Winnipeg Jets captain
3 p.m. — Susan Auch, three-time Olympic medallist, speed skating
