Travellers to Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport will have another nearby retail option beginning today.
7-Eleven and Petro-Canada will open their new store on the airport campus, providing 24/7 services for travellers, customers, and airport employees.
“Winnipeg is our third airport location in Canada,” said Tim Donegan, vice-president of 7-Eleven Canada. “Winnipeg was named the Slurpee Capital of the World for the 13th consecutive year this summer so what better way to meet visitors and welcome residents back to the city than with a Slurpee drink? Now it’s even more convenient to do this all year round.”
The store will be located on Wellington Avenue with access points to and from the airport.
Opening day celebrations are planned between noon and 6 p.m. today.
