Three Winnipeg radio stations have helped to raise $53,000 in cash and 5,300 toy donations for the Christmas Cheer Board.

Bell Media Radio’s Christmas Miracle Toy and Cash Drive was held last Thursday, Friday and Saturday at St. Vital Centre. 99.9 BOB FM, TSN Radio 1290 and FAB 94.3 broadcasted live daily to encourage the public to make a donation to the campaign.

“The Christmas Miracle contributes a quarter of all donations for the Christmas Cheer Board and helps ensure children and families can enjoy the spirit of the season on Christmas morning,” said Cheer Board executive director Kai Madsen. “There are so many people involved with this three-day event who give generously of their time. I’d like to extend a very special thank you to everyone involved.”

Donations can still be made at TD Canada Trust until December 24.
