Three Manitobans Nominated for Junos

Three Manitoba musicians have been nominated for four 2013 Juno Awards.

Winnipeg singer-songwriter Don Amero has been nominated for aboriginal album of the year for his latest album, Heart on My Sleeve. Amero will have competition in the category, going up against Manitoba’s Burnt Project 1, who picks up their third Juno nomination with The Black List.

Brandon violinist James Ehnes is nominated in two classical music categories for Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto.

The Junos will be held in Regina April 20-21.
