Man Shot, Another Injured on Pine Creek First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoTwo men are in hospital after a shooting on Pine Creek First Nation on Friday.

RCMP responded to a residence at around 7 p.m. where they found a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Another 28-year-old man was also injured after being assaulted with a weapon. Both men are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police later arrested a 25-year-old male resident of the area and have charged him with attempted murder and a number of other firearm-related offences. He will appear in court on March 4.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
