University of Winnipeg WesmenInner city youth will be kept busy during spring break by spending their days being active at the University of Winnipeg.

The second annual Inner City Wesmen Spring Break Sports Camps will run March 26-28, offering boys and girls aged 10 to 15 the chance to compete in basketball and soccer.

The camps are free and run in partnership with Youth Agencies Alliance, a network of 19 non-profit youth serving agencies.

“It is especially important for inner city kids to have the camp opportunity as they find themselves with lots of time on their hands during Spring Break,” said Grant Richter, U of W’s director of athletic program development and community.
