Suspicious Death Probed on Alexander Avenue

Winnipeg Police CrestThe homicide unit is investigating after a woman was found dead at a home in the 1100 block of Alexander Avenue Saturday morning.

Winnipeg police were called at around 11:30 a.m. and remained on scene for most of the day.

The investigation into what police are calling a suspicious death is in its early stages.

No word yet on any suspects.

UPDATE: Monday, April 15 — Police in Regina, Saskatchewan arrested Christopher Mackenzie Campbell, 42, of Winnipeg on Sunday in connection with the incident. He has been charged with second-degree murder. The victim’s identity isn’t being released.
