Cyclists taking part in Friday’s Bike to Work Day will have one less thing to worry about — breaking down.
CAA Manitoba is providing its Bike Assist service to cyclists for free to help with flat tires and broken chains.
“One of the reasons people don’t bike to work is the possibility to have mechanical problems along the way,” said CAA spokesperson Liz Peters. “We hope if Winnipeggers know help is just a phone call away, they’ll consider commuting by bike.”
The members-only service (excluding Friday) has been available for two years and allows cyclists to call for road side assistance if their bike breaks down.
