The 40th annual edition of the popular Winnipeg Folk Festival is in the books for another year, packing away five days of music at Birds Hill Park until next summer.
Sunday was the big finish, with acts such as The Blind Boys of Alabama, Bhi Bhiman, The Flatlanders, JD Edwards Band, Xavier Rudd, Alan Kelly Gang, and Nathan Rogers on the main stage. Niyaz and Tinpan Orange handled duties on the Big Blue @ Night stage.

Saturday’s highlights included performances by Habadekuk, D’Harmo, Whitehorse, Aidan Knight, Martin Sexton, The Howlin’ Brothers, Dr. John and the Nite Trippers, Sean Rowe and Galatic. Over on the Big Blue @ Night stage, The Dunwells thrilled the energetic crowd, followed up by Rich Aucoin, Locos Por Juana and Afro Kumbe Sound System.
