A 16-year-old boy from Steinbach was killed Saturday in a snowmobile crash while riding with four others.
RCMP say the accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Fireguard 18, approximately 1.5 km from Provincial Road 210.
The teen lost control on a corner and collided with several trees, according to police.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
Alcohol is not considered to be involved, but speed and lighting conditions are believed to be contributing factors.
