WestJet Encore now offers daily flights between Winnipeg to Regina.
The new service officially launched Wednesday, and returns after a five-year hiatus. WestJet will operate the flights twice daily using its new fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.
“Our mission is to provide excellent services and the launch of WestJet Encore in Winnipeg helps us do exactly that,” said Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority. “It’s exciting when working with such responsive partners, that we are able to introduce more options to make travel to and from our community that much more convenient.”
Encore, WestJet’s regional airline, currently services more than 120 destinations in over 20 countries since launching last June. More destinations will be added as more aircraft arrive, creating greater capacity and frequency in the network, WestJet said.
Introductory fares for one-way service from Winnipeg to Regina are $135.58 (including taxes and fees). Regina to Winnipeg will run you $130.33 if you book before January 24.
