A truck hauling snow may have knocked down several power lines at Wilkes Avenue and the Perimeter Highway early Wednesday.
Just before 1:30 a.m., RCMP say three power poles were knocked down, with one of the poles housing a transformer on it.
It’s believed a truck leaving the snow dump site in the area had its dump trailer upright and hooked the overhead power lines.
Manitoba Hydro is working to fix the problem and restore the poles and lines.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Headingley RCMP at (204) 831-5929.
Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area.
