WINNIPEG — The 36th annual Manitoba Marathon was run Sunday under dreary, rainy skies, but still managed to bring out 12,000 participants.

The first place winner of the full marathon was Brian Walker of Winnipeg with a time of 2:36:44. Yussuf Abduselam finished first in the half marathon at 1:09:32.
