Winnipeg Police CrestThree teens remain in custody after a mini crime spree in west Winnipeg early Saturday morning.

Winnipeg police on patrol in the area of Portage Avenue and Moray Street spotted the teens on bikes riding on the sidewalk and stopped to speak with them. Officers then learned the trio had been involved in several residential break-ins earlier in the night.

Police say the suspects cut the locks to numerous bikes and made off with six. They gained entry to garages, as well as a parked vehicle where they stole loose change from inside.

Three males, aged 15, 17 and 18, face several property-related offences. The two older teens also face court order breaches.
