The Winnipeg Jets will open their fourth season as a born-again hockey franchise October 9 in Phoenix before a long five-game homestand at home.
The NHL released the 2014-15 regular season schedule on Sunday, outlining the Jets’ 82-game plan of opponents.
The first three games for Winnipeg will be on the road against Arizona, San Jose and Los Angeles. The aforementioned string of home games will be the longest of the season before the Jets round out October playing the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils on the road.
The longest road trip of the season will be November 8-16, with the Jets visiting Ottawa, Montreal, Carolina, Nashville and Minnesota.

The broadcast schedule has yet to be fully announced, but Rogers will carry a number of games on CBC, City, Sportsnet, Sportsnet ONE, Sportsnet 360 and FX Canada. Radio listeners can also catch all 82 games on TSN 1290.
