A toddler struck by a car in Winnipeg’s West End on Sunday has died.
The three-year-old boy was in the area of Toronto Street and Notre Dame Avenue at around 4:15 p.m. when he was hit by a Toyota sedan.
The child was rushed to hospital where he later died.
Police say the child had been in the east back lane of Toronto Street when a vehicle travelling east in the south back lane of Notre Dame Avenue turned south and struck the child.
The driver immediately stopped and called 911.
Speed and alcohol are not considered factors and no charges have been laid.
