Canadian Museum for Human Rights (PCL CONSTRUCTION)
The new eatery at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights will open to the public on September 27.
Called ERA Bistro, the food will reflect a “modernist approach, with roots in classic technique and traditional flavours,” said executive chef Barry Saunders.
The 77-seat restaurant will be operated by Inn at The Forks and was designed by Winnipeg’s Number Ten Architectural Group.
An open kitchen engages visitors with an interactive dining experience, large communal tables encourage conversation, and a steel ceiling feature inspires reflection on a large scale.
The kitchen will also act a catering services hub for facility rental spaces within the museum.
ERA Bistro will be open during museum hours for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Reservations are now being accepted at (204) 289-2190 or at opentable.com/era-bistro.
