A crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Brandon had the eastbound lanes closed on Sunday morning.
A semi-trailer truck travelling east went through the guardrail on the Grand Valley Bridge at around 8 a.m. Police say the truck didn’t land in the water, but both people inside the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 26-year-old driver and his male passenger are both from Winnipeg.
RCMP expect one land to reopen today, but there will still be delays as repairs are made to the bridge. Police are asking motorists to drive with caution in the area and be aware of emergency personnel and road crews.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
