Winnipeg soccer star Desiree Scott will mentor young girls looking to enter the sport through an inaugural KidSport soccer camp.

“Giving back is something I pride myself on doing and working with kids in the community is something I truly enjoy so I am looking forward to getting on the pitch with the girls and getting them to experience a little taste of what it’s like to train as a professional soccer player,” Scott said in a release.

Scott will join a number of top Manitoba soccer players and coaches to take kids through fundamental drills and exercises.

The camp is for girls aged nine to 18-years-old and registration is open to the public.

It will take place on Sunday, November 2 at the Seven Oaks Soccer Plex, 725 Kingsbury Avenue.
