A classical winter concert at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre will get Winnipeggers in the Christmas spirit in just over a month from now.

Winter Harp returns to the city with acclaimed Manitoban harpist and singer Janelle Nadeau, who joined the ensemble eight years ago.

“Winter Harp is different from any Christmas show you will ever see,” said director Lori Pappajohn. “It wraps you in pure magic.”

“Christmas contains some of our most cherished memories — the emotions it evokes are rich and overflowing. People experience a journey into their memories, a journey into their hearts.”

The production was founded in 1993 by Pappajohn and poet/narrator Alan Woodland in a small chapel in Vancouver.

Joining the seven-person ensemble again this year are legendary Celtic harpist Kim Robertson and acclaimed singer/harpist Roger Helfrick.

Winter Harp is Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 1-866-656-6838 or online.
