Twin sister Calgary duo Tegan and Sara are touring Canada to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their fifth studio album.

The two will celebrate songs from “The Con” when they perform at Winnipeg’s Pantages Playhouse Theatre on Thursday, November 2.

Local comedian Big Daddy Tazz is lending his humour as a headliner of an upcoming Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) fundraiser.

Tazz will be joined by special guests Derek Seguin, Keith and Renée and Kelly Taylor at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre on Friday, February 26.

“For the last 15 years my friends and I have supported charities, non-profit organizations, and community based initiatives that are the backbone of this great city and province we call home,” Tazz said.

“CNIB is a non-profit entity that services clients of all ages to bring about a better sense of independence and quality of life for those living with vision loss.”

The 15th Annual Big Daddy Tazz and Friends Comedy Night is being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Winnipeg East AM.

A classical winter concert at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre will get Winnipeggers in the Christmas spirit in just over a month from now.

Winter Harp returns to the city with acclaimed Manitoban harpist and singer Janelle Nadeau, who joined the ensemble eight years ago.

‘The Next Step’ Dancers to Perform at Pantages Playhouse

Dancers from the Family TV series “The Next Step” will perform at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre early next year.

The eight cast members will be in Winnipeg on Saturday, February 28, 2015 as part of their 20-city Canadian stage tour.

Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster for $40. Me+3 4-pack tickets are $140.

Doors to the all ages show open at 5:30 p.m. with the performance beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Comedian Steve Patterson is playing the Pantages Playhouse Theatre this fall.

Regularly heard on CBC Radio’s weekly comedy show “The Debaters,” Patterson will be in Winnipeg Friday, October 3.

Tickets for the “This Is Not Debatable!” tour go on sale Monday, June 9 at Ticketmaster for $40.

Patterson will also play Brandon’s Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium on October 4.

Comedian Brian Regan is coming to Winnipeg this summer.

The stand-up comic will bring his 48-city show to the Pantages Playhouse Theatre on Sunday, August 17.

Occasionally venturing off the stand-up stage, Regan recently appeared in Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” He will also be seen in the upcoming Chris Rock movie “Finally Famous,” and he voiced the character of Weib Lunk for the 40th episode of The Looney Tunes Show titled, “Spread Those Wings and Fly.”

Winnipeg Comedy Festival Adds to Comedic Lineup

Winnipeg Comedy FestivalTwo more comedians have been added to the lineup for this year’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

TV funnyman Tom Cavanagh and rising stand-up star Phil Hanley will have audiences bursting with laughter this April.

Canadian-born Cavanagh, also the former “Ed” star, will appear at the Future Show gala, taking place Friday, April 11 at 9:15 p.m. at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre.

‘Family Feud’ Canadian Tour Cancelled

Family Feud LiveThe promoters of the Family Feud Live! stage show have cancelled the tour for unspecified reasons.

The show was to be held at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre on March 18 and give audience members the chance to play games from the popular TV show with the chance at winning a $10,000 prize.

The tour was to hit 13 cities beginning in Victoria on March 12.

Live Nation said ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

Debra DiGiovanni Returning to Pantages Playhouse

Debra DiGiovanniComedian Debra DiGiovanni is bringing her cross-Canada tour to Winnipeg later this month.

DiGiovanni will perform at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre on Wednesday, January 29 as part of her Late Bloomer Tour.

The 21-city run will have the affable comedian charming audiences nationally from coast-to-coast. DiGiovanni has been hailed as the “best comedian to see after a messy breakup” and was named Toronto’s favourite comedian for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009.
