Corus Feeds Kids raised $42,095 for Winnipeg Harvest on Thursday. (HANDOUT)
Corus Radio Winnipeg brought in $42,095 to help feed Manitoba children on Thursday.
The entertainment group, which operates 680 CJOB, Power 97 and 99.1 Fresh FM, held a 12 Hours of Christmas Auction in support of Winnipeg Harvest.
Listeners were invited to bid on auction items from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. as the stations held live remotes and collected cash and food donations. All funds raised support Hunger for Hope, a Winnipeg Harvest program dedicated to ending child hunger in Manitoba.
Corus Feeds Kids’ goal is to raise $3 million and contribute 3,000 employee hours in three years. Winnipeggers can also drop off food donations at Grant Park Shopping Centre, near the Liquor Mart entrance, until December 24.
