Man charged in Swan River Valentine’s Day assault

RCMP Crest LogoA 32-year-old man is facing charges after an assault in Swan River on Valentine’s Day.

Swan River RCMP said they were called to the scene of a local business on Feb. 14 where they found a man with a puncture wound on the right side of his chest. He was taken to hospital in Winnipeg and is now in stable condition.

RCMP said they have charged Matthew Stanley Cook, 32, for his alleged involvement. He faces charges of aggravated assault and failure to comply with a probation order.
