In the most Canadian police chase in recent memory, an Ethelbert man is facing charges after crashing his car into a snowbank and then eluding RCMP down a groomed snowmobile trail.
An officer tried to pull the man over Saturday morning in Ethelbert, Manitoba after noticing the vehicle driving slowly up and down the streets at around 1:15 a.m.
The vehicle picked up speed and slid into a snowbank before ramming the front end of the police cruiser. He then took off down a snowmobile trail.
The driver later hit the ditch once getting back onto the road, then fled on foot. He was arrested moments later.
Bryan James Munro, 30, has been charged with a number of offences and appeared in Dauphin court today.
