Five people are facing multiple drug charges after Winnipeg police began a narcotics investigation and seized a quantity of cocaine.
Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Besant Street on Wednesday.
Officers seized 22.9 ounces of cocaine worth an estimated $41,220, approximately $20,000 in cash, along with packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.
Joel Richard Bruneau, 25, of Winnipeg has been charged with numerous drug offences and remains in custody.
Police also arrested two men, aged 23 and 27, and two women, aged 27 and 28. They face similar charges and were released on promises to appear.
