WINNIPEG– Sport Manitoba has received a contribution from Qualico to help build a new training centre.
Known as the Qualico Training Centre, the 120,000-square-foot addition to the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre is a key legacy project for the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
“We are tremendously grateful for Qualico’s support of our capital campaign,” said Paul Robson, the campaign’s co-chair. “Qualico’s generosity will create significant lasting impacts as we continue to positively build our communities and neighborhoods through sport. While our private capital campaign has been successful, additional support is still required.”
The training centre will host community programming for more than 100,000 kids, youth and adults every year.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this summer.
